A/CArafaat Marquee

Stay of Arafaat, “Wakuf-e-Arafaoh”on 9th ZilHaj, is the Main Farz rukun of Hajj. Hajis have to spend most part of the 9th zilHajj day, also called “the day of Arafaah”, inside the boundary of Arafaat & cannot leave before ‘Maghrib Azaan. Hajis offer Zuhar & Asar in Arafat besides making lots of Duo & Zikr from Asar till Maghrib. The Lunch on 9th Zilhajj is also served in Arafaat. The essence of Hajj journey is this stay in Arafaat. Except for Ahram & Tawaf-e-Ziarat. every other Hajj ritual has an expiation in form of fines or Animal sacrifice as penalty, if the ritual is not performed properly or altogether missed. But there is no replacement or expiation for missing the Arafaat stay, if it is not performed properly or is altogether missed, the l-lajj becomes Void. The stay in Arafaat used to bea tough exercise as it is a desert with no facilities needed for life sustainability. In summers, the temperatures run extremely high crossing 50`c & there used to be no shades or arrangements for cold water. Even in present times, except for Private Hajj groups offering executive Hajj services, all other groups including Govt. Hajj missions provide only open canvas tents (Tomboo’s) with pedestal fans. Open canvas tents were acceptable before, but when Hajj started to fall in extreme summer of a desert, these open tents failed miserably. Private groups with a focus to revamp Hajj services jumped in & aggressively pushed the authorities to allow them to offer new & better services in Arafaat to meet the growing demand for such facilities on the main Hajj day, It depends a lot on one’s lifestyle that how well he can adapt to such extreme environment. Someone who has spent all his life in a village without A/C or even without electricity, would not be much disturbed. However, people used to the comfort & luxuries of an urban life will often find themselves in difficult situations in Hajj & people from such upper class of the society are mostly the one’s who commit the grave sin of delaying their “Farz Hajj”, just because of the apprehension & fear of such difficulties, due to lack of basic facilities in the package. To make it easy& comfortable for such people. so that on the day of Arafaah they can perform their worship with ease & comfort without getting physically & mentally drained. our overseas team in collaboration with Saudi authorities installs a proper marquee with heavy duty multiple air-conditioning plants. Besides this, the management of Maktab-1 in collaboration with Saudi Govt. has built permanent toilets/bathrooms. separate for males/females located very close to our marquee location. This saves the precious moments from being wasted in long walks to access public toilets. Arabic style sumptuous fresh meal is also prepared by our maktab’s kitchen inside Arafaat compound to save your time.
